Lithium is quietly replacing the heavy tubular batteries in Indian homes — and almost no one can tell you what a fair price actually is. Prices swing wildly from shop to shop, brand to brand, city to city. That confusion is exactly the problem my husband, Kunwer Sachdev, set out to solve when he built LithiumInverter.com — India’s only independent lithium battery price tracker.
An honest number in a noisy market
LithiumInverter.com tracks LFP, NMC, home inverter, EV, and solar battery prices — updated daily. No brand is paying to look cheaper. No dealer is editing the numbers. It is simply the closest thing India has to a public, neutral reference price for lithium storage, with expert analysis from the man the country calls the Inverter Man — and, after his solar work, the Solar Man of India.
What I love about this project is how unglamorous its purpose is. It will never trend. But for a family in a small town trying to decide whether a lithium inverter is worth it, or a solar installer quoting a customer, that one honest number can save real money. My husband has always cared more about being useful than being seen.
What the tracker covers
LFP & NMC
Daily price movements across the two lithium chemistries that matter most.
Home Inverter Batteries
What lithium home backup really costs — and how it compares to tubular.
Solar Batteries
Storage pricing for rooftop solar, from the pioneer of hybrid solar PCUs.
EV Batteries
Tracking the cells driving India’s electric-vehicle transition.
Why a price tracker, from an inventor?
People expect a man with dozens of patents to build products, not price charts. But my husband sees them as the same mission. At Su-vastika he engineers the batteries and storage systems of the future; at LithiumInverter.com he makes sure ordinary buyers can navigate that future without being overcharged. One is invention. The other is fairness. He has never been able to separate the two.
Why I share this on my own website
I write these notes because I have watched, up close, how much quiet work goes into things that earn nothing. LithiumInverter.com is one of them — a free public service dressed up as a simple website. As his wife, and as someone building in the same industry, I want people to know it exists and to know who stands behind it. So here it is, in my own words: my husband built this for you.
