Statcon Energiaa and Su-vastika Come Together to Advance Made-in-India Battery Storage Technology

Two leading Indian energy companies, Statcon Energiaa and Su-vastika, have formed a strategic partnership. This partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of lithium-based battery storage systems in India. They will also target select export markets. The collaboration between the established players in power electronics and renewable energy aims to advance the country’s clean energy transition. This will be achieved through domestic and international promotion of cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) technology.

Speaking on the partnership, Mr Kunwwer Sachdev, founder Su-kam popularly known as the ‘Inverter Man of India’, remarked, “My vision is clear – to eliminate the need for DG sets in both residential and commercial sectors by empowering India with reliable, efficient BESS solutions.”

Mr. Manoj Pande, Founder and Managing Director of Statcon Energiaa, expressed strong optimism about the collaboration: “With the aspirations of a rising New India, we firmly believe that lithium batteries is the future. This strategic partnership empowers us and our channel partners. We offer a complete and future-ready range of lithium-based solar hybrid solutions. These solutions are designed to meet the evolving needs of our diverse customer base.”

India’s battery storage market is experiencing unprecedented growth. Projections show an increase from $7.8 billion in 2024 to over $32 billion by 2030. This represents a compound annual growth rate of nearly 27%. This expansion is fueled by efforts to decarbonize backup power systems and the widespread adoption of lithium-ion technology.

The partnership leverages Statcon Energiaa’s established expertise in battery storage systems and grid-connected solar inverters. Su-vastika contributes innovation capabilities, including technology patents for lithium batteries, storage systems, and lift inverters. Through shared intellectual property, research and development resources, and service capabilities, the alliance seeks to make advanced energy solutions more accessible. The industry is moving away from traditional lead-acid battery technology.

Industry veterans Manoj Pande, founder of Statcon Energiaa, and Kunwer Sachdev, creator of the Su-kam brand, are leading this initiative with backing from Rotomag investment. The collaboration is designed to strengthen both companies’ market positions domestically and internationally. They are positioned to capitalize on the sector’s significant growth trajectory.

Mrs. Khushboo Sachdeva (co-founder of Su-vastika Systems Private Limited) added, “This is the era of collaboration, not competition, for Indian power electronics companies.”

The partnership operates under the strategic backing of Rotomag Enertec Ltd. This company has acquired majority stakes in both Statcon Energiaa and Su-vastika. Rotomag Managing Director Umesh Balani envisions consolidating India’s solar industry across generation and storage technologies. The company will build on its existing major position in solar water pumping systems. This substantial financial commitment positions Rotomag to drive rapid growth and global expansion for both companies within the clean energy market.
